Karuna Montessori School is an independent, professionally operated, non-profit making, non-denominational, community based pre-school established in 1984 by the Northern Beaches Montessori Association. It closely follows the Montessori philosophy with AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) trained Montessori teaching staff. It is registered and accredited with the NSW Dept Education Board of Studies as a school catering for children in Kindergarten, and is licenced by the Department of Community Services (DoCS).

St John’s Catholic Primary School is an exciting place to be and the purpose of our web site is to share some of this excitement with you. It will provide you with some specific information about our educational programs and daily routines. More importantly it will serve to welcome you into our community. The motto of the school, from the founding order of Brigidine nuns, is “Strength and Gentleness”. This motto is incorporated into our daily living at St John’s, for children and adults alike. St Francis de Sales is quoted as saying “There is nothing so strong as gentleness, and nothing so gentle as real strength”. Our school community strives to recognise that we are each made in the image of God and that, by living in a faith community, we seek to follow the teachings and example of Jesus. We work closely with our Parish Family led by our Priests, Fr Shaju and Fr Joy.
