The College has an enrolment of 870 Secondary students and 450 Primary children. The College was established in 1990 as a ministry of the Lake Joondalup Baptist Church to provide a high standard of education within the context of the Christian faith.
The College welcomes students of any or no faith; involvement with the Baptist or any other church is not required. It is, however, a condition of enrolment that all students participate fully in the Christian program of the College.
The College aims to provide a Christian education of excellence, encouraging a strong social conscience and developing the spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional and physical potential of our students.
The Institute offers over 140 nationally recognised qualifications in hospitality, commerce, trades, technology, health, education and social sciences.
Courses can be studied on-campus, online or on the job. Qualifications range from Certificate I through to advanced Diploma and as a higher education provider, the Institute also offers Bachelor Degrees.
The Institute houses five purpose built academies of excellence to provide relevant and real world training including the Aboriginal Academy of Sport, health and Education, the Academy of Digital Technologies, Trades North, the Academy of Health Sciences and the Academy of Hospitality and Culinary Arts.
Alta-1 is a multi-sited school that provides an alternative education and community services program designed to engage community resources and groups to train, support and equip participants who are marginalized by mainstream education. By addressing their socio-emotional and spiritual needs in a supportive community setting, participants receive educational services and workplace learning options that can assist them achieve high school graduation as well as receive training from a vast number of sources, opening opportunities for employment and further education.
