EDUCATION GUIDE
Ashgrove Memorial kindergarten is a non-profit, community kindy which has been educating and caring for the Ashgrove community since 1949.
Set off the main road, but convenient and accessible to numerous schools, we have two airconditioned classrooms and a large natural outdoor classroom (the playground) with room to run, and hide, and build… adjacent to parkland, with ample parking.
Mater Dei Catholic Primary School (established in 1951) is a member of the Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE) system in the Archdiocese of Brisbane.
Mater Dei is located in the suburb of Ashgrove West, approximately 8km west of Brisbane's central business district. The school is characterised by a warm and caring environment, firmly grounded in the Catholic tradition.
Mater Dei Catholic Primary School prides itself on the spirit that can be found in our students, teachers, sporting teams, achievements, friendships and approach to learning.
We are a co-educational school with a current enrolment of 351 students from Prep through to Yr 7.
Today, 428 primary students are enrolled. Seventeen classroom and specialist teachers, supported by dedicated ancillary staff, help to make every child’s schooling a most exciting, challenging and rewarding period of development. This is maximized when home and school work together as an effective partnership. To that end we look forward to establishing this spirit of cooperation. We are eager to get to know you and work with you to provide the best for all Oakleigh children.
The school community is justifiably proud of the school: its quiet and spacious grounds, caring and experienced staff, the facilities and range of opportunities it can offer not only your children, but you as well.
